Jaialdi 2010
International Basque Cultural Festival, Boise, ID. Basques love to party. All conversations, especially in the tongue-twisting Basque language, lead to food and wine. But don’t fret; there will be plenty of English spoken at Jaialdi 2010. Every five years, people from around the world converge on Boise for Jaialdi, an international Basque blowout that lasts the better part of a week. Expect to find traditional dancing, folk music, farm athletes, and, most importantly, lots of food and wine—but only if you plan well in advance, as these events sell out early. Click on jaialdi.com for a full schedule of events and to purchase single-event tickets.
